Seven years ago Joel was born. He’s my third child. At this time the idea of Bära Barn was born too. I used a shawl myself and received many positive comments on how nice it looked and how content Joel seemed to be. I decided to give other parents the possibility to experience the fantastic closeness to their children. I began brainstorming for and developing fabrics, colours and designs for the Bära-barn-shawls.
Simple and great-looking were my two guiding stars. Simple patterns and greatlooking
colours. The designs follow the trends and the shawls are easy to use. One shall want to wear the Bära-barn-shawl even when not using it to carry a child.
Carrying your child in a shawl is wonderful. I still do it sometimes when Joel is too
tired to walk. This summer, for example, our whole family went to London. When Joel was too tired to do more sightseeing I put him in the shawl so he could take a well needed nap.
