
How to carry a child lying down

| 1. Place your child over your shoulder. |
2. Pull the fabric up over the child’s back and pull the tail to make it tight enough. |
3. Move your child into lying position by gently pulling the child’s legs. Make sure the fabric covers the childs bottom and back and gives enough support to its head. |
4. Make sure the baby is comfortable. The baby’s back should be turned to the floor and the front facing the ceiling. The child should lie with its head in the same height as your breast. When breastfeeding you place the child facing your tummy, as you normally would when breastfeeding. |
| If your child has fallen asleep in your arms you can continue to hold it without waking it up, simultaneously put the pre-arranged Bära-barn-shawl on and place the child in it. The baby will sleep safe and sound in the shawl. |
