
How to carry your child on your back
Suitable for children approximately 10 months or older

| 1. Place your child in the shawl as if it would sit on you hip, knot on your back. |
2. Turn your child and the shawl around to your back. It will be easier if you gently jump up and down. |
3. Make sure the child has enough fabric from the back of one knee to the other so that there is a real sitting area. |
4. Pull the fabric up over the child’s back so that it sits comfortably and securely. You may have to adjust the knot so that the shawl fits tightly around you and your child. |
Ask somebody to assist you the first few times you place your child on your back. You won’t have as good contact with your child when carrying it on your back as when in your front. Remember that the child easily can reach for things without you knowing about it. |
